We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Liquen! It is an amazingly beautiful and peaceful home-tel! Not really a hotel, more like a home with friends! Everything about it was perfect! The views, the furnishings, the staff, the food, the adventures! Can’t speak highly enough about this place and its owner, Adriana!

Adriana has created a truly breathtaking and magical experience for guests (and friends of guests) at beautiful Casa Liquen. The intention and love that went into designing all the spaces shines through in so many different ways. The location is perfect - very close to the beach and Chacala’s plaza while still maintaining a serene and private setting. We enjoyed large (delicious) communal meals, group singing and dancing, lazy days around the beautiful pool, special activities with local artists and other instructors, and Adriana was always available to help arrange other excursions and recommend other places to explore. If you’re looking for an amazing place to stay, with delightful hosts, and with peace and serenity at the heart, Casa Liquen is just what you need.

Our first visit to Chacala and staying at Casa Liquen was wonderful. The location was great - so close to the beach and just a short walk to the shops, grocery and restaurants. The host made us, and we noticed - everyone, who stayed there feel at home. The best food we had during our two week stay was at Casa Liquen, and the setting couldn't be beat. There are so many beautiful spaces to hang out - the pool with hammock and loungers, several different rooftop levels with beautiful sunset viewing, or just quiet time to escape and read a book, and we loved the ping pong table on the middle level. I went to a yoga class there, and it was just a flight of stairs up from our room. The room and common spaces are truly beautiful, and we found it hard to leave.

Everything was great! The apartment was very clean. It was perfect for my husband and I. The view from the rooftop was great. Although we didn’t get to use the pool, it looked very nice along with the chairs and hammock. Nice area to relax and enjoy some peaceful time. Our host was very responsive and helpful. Thank you for everything!

Very quiet, nicely appointed hotel. She said she was full but I never heard other guests. Functional kitchen, good water pressure, comfortable bed, spotty WiFi, with a very nice owner-operator, Adriana. Less than 100 steps to the beach.

I was invited to travel to Mexico from Australia as part of a family Christmas holiday with my husband and kids, the spot it was chosen was Chacala and we knew nothing about; To our surprise Casa Liquen was a beautifully designed and decorated build with accents of Mediterranean and modern Mexican architecture. The interiors where just devine and had everything we need to feel like at home and be must comfortable whilst outside the greenery of plants around the hotel areas like the main entry, walkways and around the beautifully designed pool, you could tell that where carefully and lovingly chosen and that gave our stay and even more relaxed tropical atmosphere. The family like interactions with the lovely owner and staff made us feel like home. We always felt welcomed even though we came with kids to a boutique hotel where couples and older people could be the norm we thought. The kids loved the pool and we loved the proximity to the beach and the amazing food varieties in Chacala. I can’t describe how good the quality and quantity of Mexican flavours are in this little town. I’m not talking high cuisine, I’m talking authentic food that is cooked by the locals and taste of what it is real food, not processed just fresh ingredients, just ask Adriana casa Liquen’s owner for the recommendations, in fact Adriana also had delicious vegetarian dips in her main fridge and kitchen pantry that went perfectly on one of the days, when we cooked freshly caught fish ceviche to accompany our colourful table of Mexican dishes. I should not forget the views of palm trees, the sounds of the crashing waves, the trip to see the whales, the walk through the jungle to see Chacala from the top next to an inactive volcano crater. I could go on and on, Casa Liquen will be the must comfortable boutique hotel experience, so much that you will want to come again and again every year, even if it meant that you have to travel more than 10,000 km from Australia.

This place is so beautiful its almost like out of a dream. Adriana and her team make it feel like your home away from home and you can really feel the love in the entire hotel. I was traveling alone and a bit worried beforehand but this place made me really feel at peace! You can always hear the ocean from the room and within 30 seconds youre at the beach! The yoga room is also beautifully done, with a view over the town and the sea. Would recommend this hotel to anyone! 10/10

The best welcoming hotel in Chacala. Adriana is very lovely, helpful and friendly person. So happy we got to meet. Will definitely be staying at Casa liquen in the near future!!!
